U.S.S. POTOMAC
TOUR AND CRUISE ON SF BAY
Joint tour with Cadillac-LaSalle,
CHVA and the Packard Club
Saturday, August 11, 2007 - 10AM
Sold Out
There
are two parking garages located in Jack London Square. You may prefer to drive modern iron. Sorry,
the Potomac does not validate.
Look for a floating red balloon to locate our group.
Plan to gather between 9:30 - 10AM
in Oakland’s Jack London Square, behind the Plaza Hotel on the west end of the promenade, for check-in and optional
brief movie presentation. I will be checking the list of names for 50 reserved
spaces in our group. We sail at 11AM.
Please join us for a late après cruise
lunch at the historic Quinn’s Lighthouse located a little further down the Oakland
estuary. This restaurant has a wide selection of good food, reasonable prices,
lovely waterfront views and free parking. You can decide if you want to go the
morning of the cruise ... please let me know when you check in. I will
phone the restaurant with a headcount prior to sailing.
Our group is the largest of several
other groups sailing together on this cruise and belatedly, due to overbooking, we were limited to 50 spaces by the Potomac Association. Regretfully, I had to
return some RSVPS and have established a waiting list. PLEASE, if you must cancel
at the last minute, let me know ASAP so I can try and fill your space. If
your reservation(s) can be resold, your money will be refunded.
This promises to be a fun day and
a pretty even distribution of members from CLC, Packard, and the Freewheelers.
